Doreen Beverly Cahalan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen Beverly Cahalan, our beloved ‘Granny’, on August 23, 2024 in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 95 years. Granny was born on June 28, 1929 in Jenks, Oklahoma. She was a wonderful wife, mom and an awesome granny, who cherished her family and adored spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. She had a zest for life. You could find her working in the yard, bowling, going to the zoo, taking the grandkids to Astroworld and all kinds of adventures! She loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs. We will miss her sweet personality and lovely smile dearly.

We want to thank the incredible caregivers and sweet friends at The Village at Sugar Land and the awesome Sahara Hospice team of Sonia, Jackie and Tricia. They brought happiness and peace to Granny over the last two years of her life.

She is survived by her: son, James Cahalan and wife, Cary and daughter, Catherine Cahalan; Grandchildren: Hunter, Ryan and his wife, Katy, Sean and Ashley Cahalan; Great Grandchild: Oliver Cahalan, son of Ryan and Katy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Lawrence Cahalan and two children, Shelia Ibison and Stephen Bogdanoff. Their lives were ended prematurely by cancer.
