She is preceded by her husband Jerald "Jerry" Graves, her parents Lawrence and Inez Holstead, and brothers Jack Holstead and Joe Holstead, and son-in-law Jeff English. Doris is survived by her son Michael Graves and daughter-in-law Donna, daughter Caron English, granddaughter Lauren Chandler and husband William, grandson Aaron English and wife Alyssa, and granddaughter Sarah English.
She was the kindest, most generous, and loving wife, mom, and grandmother. Her wish was that everyone would have the same faith and trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that she had. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Celebration of Life will be Saturday April 12, 2025 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077 with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm, service at 2:00pm, and graveside committal at 3:00 pm.
