Dorothy Haschke

Dorothy Skeete Haschke, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, with the same grace with which she lived her life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Dorothy was born August 14, 1930, in Sealy, Texas to her parents Edna and Leon Skeete. At age 13 she moved with her family including her siblings Lorene and Leon to Lake Jackson, Texas as one of their first residents. As a young bride in 1950, she and her husband Fred Haschke moved to Oak Forest in Houston, Texas, and was a devoted member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church.

Dorothy dedicated her life to her family, pets included, lovingly and selflessly. Her husband, the last Fredrick H. Haschke Jr., her children Neal Haschke and his wife Gail, Kathleen Osterhaus and her husband Glenn, the late Lisa Ducay, and Dorothy's dear friend Bill Price were all an important part of her life. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and will be remembered for her love of family, her thoughtfulness towards others, and her kindness. She will be greatly missed.

Dorothy was blessed in her final years to be surrounded by love and cared for like family at Copperfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

The interment will be on January 18, 2025, at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, where sh will be laid to rest next to her husband Fred Haschke.
