Dorothy Mae Quitta Knetsar

Dorothy was an avid bridge player and a diehard fan of the Wheel of Fortune. She was a faithful member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church for 45 years and Our Lady of Walsingham for 10 years. Known as Mom, Grandma and Gigi, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loyal friend. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor to know her and be a part of her life.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 55 years, Boyd ‘Buddy’ Knetsar, a grandson, Adam Boyd Knetsar and son-n-law, Donald Soehnlein.

She is survived by her sons, Ron(Leslie) Knetsar and Jim(Rosalinda) Knetsar of Houston, TX, daughters, Dianne Soehnlein of Houston, TX and Mary(Charles) Wait of Richmond, TX, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous other loving and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Walsingham, 7809 Shadyvilla Lane, Houston, Texas 77055. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A burial will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
