Dorothy Jean Lange

Dorothy Bartels Lange, age 79, of Houston, Texas, passed away on April 18, 2014. She was born on August 3, 1934 to Gus and Norma (Seibert) Bartels in Burton, Texas. On July 8, 1951, she married Kermit Rudolph Lange of Waldeck, Texas. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Houston, Texas.

She worked as a Teller at the Bank of the Southwest, later as a Homemaker where she enjoyed making chocolate chip cookies, cakes, tending to her many flowers and spending time with her grandkids. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Sidney Lange and fiancé Tracye Slaten, Rodney Lange & wife Joan, grandchildren; Samantha & husband Andrew Gagyi, Casey Lange & wife Shelbi, Codie Lange and Bridget Lange. Great Granddaughter Presley Louise Lange.

She was preceeded in death by her husband Kermit R. Lange, parents Gus & Norma Bartels, twin sister Margie Bartels Mueller and brother Eugene Bartels.

Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24th at 10:00 am, at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, Houston, Texas, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 P.M. at Waldeck Cemetery, Waldeck, Texas.
