Dorothy A Seigle

Dorothy graduated from Navasota High School in 1955 and married her sweetheart November 5th of that year. Her life was dedicated to making a loving home for her husband and four boys. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Her babies, no matter how old or young were her pride and joy.

She loved cooking and sewing. She gained great pleasure in cooking for her family and as her family grew, she was always happy to make everyone's favorite meal or dessert (especially for her grandchildren!) She was very involved with the Sam Houston High School FFA Program/Booster Club with all four of her boys and was many of their friend's "adopted mom" as well.

During her time at Regent Care of The Woodlands she was very active as she enjoyed playing Bingo, crafting, music and game time and also spa days having her finger nails painted and being pampered. She remained dedicated to her faith as she would attend church services weekly, sometimes more than once a week. She was Resident Council President for two terms and took this responsibility very seriously. She was also voted Valentine Queen of the facility twice and wore her crown and sash proudly. She made many friends and loved her caregivers while there. Her family will be forever grateful for the love shown to her by all.

She was survived by 4 Sons, Donald and his wife, Linda; James and his wife, Barby; Stephen and his wife, Holly; Mark and his wife Linda. 5 Grandchildren, Michael Seigle, Melissa Reagan, Kevin Seigle, Craig Seigle, and Leslie Howell. 8 Great Grandchildren, Paige Pitrucha, Conner Seigle, Jackson Reagan, Jace Carter Reagan, Gabriel Davis, CJ Seigle, Emma Seigle, Charlee Howell; 1 Great-Great Grandchild, Stetson Pitrucha. 3 Sisters, Clara Gaucher, Pat Womack, Monica Weaver and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Arch Leon Seigle; Parents, John Paul and Josephine Uilkie; Brothers, Philip Uilkie, Felix Uilkie, and Erwin Uilkie.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose lane St, Houston, TX 77037. A committal service will occur Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
