Dorothy "Edith" Gibbs Westerman, as in life so in death, surrounded by her family, her books and her things quietly and without fanfare left the party for her next journey into eternity. As her spirit was embraced by the sunlight shinning in her room she knew she was loved greatly. Natural causes took her from this life and she was fortunate to remain in her Heights home until the end.

Every party, for those of us who were fortunate to know her as the life of the party, will be a bit more dull, but we will not mourn her but revel in her memory as she would want.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, nanny and friend.
A visitation for "Edith" will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, with a private service to follow.
