Dorsey Carol Shriver

Dorsey Carol Shriver went to be with Jesus her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2025.

Dorsey was born September 13, 1933 to Edith Elizabeth and Arthur Dewitt Hundley in Ryan Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Hundley, and granddaughter Ava Star Shriver.

Dorsey is survived by her husband Donald Leroy Shriver; children Debbie Fash, and husband Ronald, of Richmond TX, Dianna Shriver, of Santa Fe, NM, and Donnie Shriver, and wife Deborah, of Katy TX.

Dorsey has five grandchildren, Laura, Emma, Sara, Joaquin, and Sally. They were the joy of her life. She was a present and active grandma sharing in all their special activities. Her three great grandchildren, Ben, June, and Eleanor, brought even more blessing and happiness to her life.

Dorsey married Don, the love of her life at the Air Force Base in Roswell, NM, in August 1956. They were married 70 years this August. While Don was finishing college at TCU in Fort Worth, TX they started their family. Following graduation, they moved to Houston, TX where they grew several thriving businesses, attending Berachah church for over 50 years, and enjoying an active life; raising their children, tennis, golf, and travel. They moved to Richmond, TX in 1973 and started enjoying a new chapter of life in the country, meeting many new friends.

Dorsey’s siblings were her best friends. Wanda West, and late husband Marvin, of Portland, TX, Trish Lappin, and husband Grant, of Wylie TX, Robert Hundley, and wife Bonnie, of Mesa AZ, as well as many cousins and extended family. Dorsey had many friends that had an eternal bond which she cherished.

At 91 years old, Dorsey lived a fulfilling life, full of beauty, grace, and a faithful walk with her Lord.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dorsey’s name to St. Judes Children's Hospital. Dorsey was buried in a private family ceremony at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, TX.
