Edgar Albert Oakes, Sr., 92, passed away August 22, 2011 in Pasadena, TX and reunited with his loving wife, Audrey. Edgar proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and later in life worked for Nabisco as a truck driver. He is survived by his: daughters: Cynthia Tarver, Susan Jenkins, Judy Stegall; sons: Eddie Oakes, Thomas Oakes. John Oakes (Corie), Jerry Oakes; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Wednesday, August 24th. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 25th at 12:30pm in Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park with pallbearers courtesy of Galena Park Police Department.
