Edwin Maurice Buckner, Jr.

He was born in Corpus Christi on February 20th, 1953. Edwin Buckner Jr. received his GED.

He was married to Terri Lyin Isbell (Buckner) on February 23rd, 1974.

Edwin Buckner Jr. had a career as a structural inspector for highways for Trinity Industries.

He had a passion for hunting, fishing, poker, pool, barbequing, cross word and search a word books, and puzzles.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents Edwin Buckner Sr. and Joy Nell Buckner, and brother Rodney Buckner.

He is survived by children Teresa Buckner, Veronica Wheeler, Christine Buckner, and Edwin Maurice Buckner III, eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, brother Charles Buckner, and sisters Edna Memmer, Debra Sanford, and Mary Jaynes.

The gathering will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM with a Celebration of Life held at 12:00PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. A Committal Service will take place at 1:15PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. A reception is to follow at 2:30PM at Doss Park Mangum-Howell Center, 2500 Frick Road, Houston, Texas 77038.

Pallbearers for the service will be, Anthony Wheeler Jr., Sean Wheeler, Mathew Wheeler, Christopher Buckner, Joshua Villarreal, and George Buckner.
