Elias Rivas attended Lamar High School in Houston, Texas and shortly there after followed in his brothers footsteps also joining the United States Marine Corp in 1974.
He was married to Gloria Gayle Gomez for 43 years.
Elias Rivas had a career in Building Engineering and Air-conditioning Maintenance for PM Realty, Jack in the Box, Sears, and Ryan’s Inc.
He has a passion for music and movies.
He was survived by children, Virginia Magdalena Ochoa and husband Jesus Ochoa, Victor Miguel Rivas and wife Sarah Rivas; Grandchildren, Taylor Renee Ochoa, Thomas Rafael Ochoa, Brandon Michael Rivas, Briaunna Marie Rivas, and Bella Magdalena Rivas; Great grandson, Rian Michael Rivas; Siblings, Ernest Rivas and wife Mieko, Eduardo Rivas, Elton Rivas, Elida Navarro, and Eva Garcia.
Elias was preceded in death by his dad, Benito Rivas, his mom Guadalupe Perez Rivas, brother, Benito Rivas Jr., and his sister Estela Rodriguez.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 am, on January 15, 2021 at American Heritage Funeral Home.
