Eloise Jane Ellis

Jayne is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Vernon Ellis. Survivors include 4 children and 3 spouses, Lyn Ellis, James and Claudia Ellis, Wayne and Nancy Ellis and Steven and Ileana Ellis. 6 grandchildren: Alexis and Nels Henderson, Jesse Ellis, Ryan Ellis, Vaughn Ellis, Ian Ellis and Anabella Ellis. 3 great grandchildren: Wesley Ellis, William Ellis and Hannah Henderson. Jayne was raised on her Joughin family's ranch in Arroyo Grande, California and attended schools in San Luis Obispo. After graduating from USC in 1947, being married in Louisiana, raising her children, she worked in social services and real estate.

Viewed by her family and friends as the most wonderful mother, grandmother and hostess, she was always available for advice on child rearing or sharing her favorite recipe such as cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed her neighborhood clubs for gardening, antiques and gourmet dinners. She traveled all over the world with her husband but loved being in her flip flops at the beach the best. She loved life and people and will be missed by all who knew her.
