Eloise E. Hadley passed away peacefully on March 13, 2013 at Grace Care Center Northpointe in Tomball, TX at the age of 81. She was born July 29, 1931 in Wichita Falls, TX to Jake and Lucille Eckert. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School and attending two years at Hardin College (Midwestern State University) she married John Paul Hadley, Jr. Together they owned and operated Paul’s Café on Old Lake Rd. A career path of accounting and bookkeeping led her to the employment of Brook/Wallander Florist and English Pharmacy.
After retiring and relocating to Spring, TX in 1990 where she gladly wore her new title of “Gramsy Bear”, she put on her running shoes and attended the many soccer and basketball games of her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, family, genealogy, flower arranging, cooking and fishing.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband Paul. She is survived by her brother Jacob Eckert, Jr. of Austin, TX, son Steven Hadley of Houston, TX., daughter Elaine (Steve) Neeld of Spring, TX, Marjorie (Mike) Malone of Dallas, TX., four grandchildren Lauren (Neeld) Barr and husband Justin, Brian Neeld, Eric Malone and wife Michelle, and Ryan Malone.
A private family visitation was held at Brookside Funeral Home in Spring, TX. A celebration of life and memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Bellevue, TX on Friday March 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM, Robert Slaton officiating. Friends are welcome to attend family visitation at the Community Center of the church from noon to one PM.
