

Elvira enjoyed swimming, tennis and gardening. She learned to swim at an early age and modeled her swimming style after actress Ester Williams. Elvira shared her childhood with sisters Elizabeth and Sonia. Her father and mother provided them with a loving environment. At the age of 18, Elvira immigrated to the United States with the help of Emma and Martin Gonzalez, her aunt and uncle.
In Houston Texas Elvira found and fell in love with Enrique Arrizola.
Elvira at the age of 40 decided to obtain her certification in agriculture. In 1977, Elvira opened East Park Florist & Gift Shop in Houston, Texas. In 1994, Elvira went on to share her floral expertise with the Kroger Company for 15 years.
Elvira is survived by her husband of 58 years Enrique Arrizola;Sisters Elizabeth Ochoa, Sonia Maldonado; children and spouses Kenneth and Michelle Arrizola of Chicago, Illinois, Enrique (Henry) Fidel and Laura Arrizola of The Woodlands, Karen and Curtis Childs of Houston, Texas, Jeffrey and Debby Arrizola of Sugar Land Texas, Rodney Ted and Kasey Arrizola of Tomball, Texas. Along with grandchildren Jon Henri & Zachary Arrizola, Jessica, Henry Edward,& Ashley Arrizola,Matthew & Stephanie Childs, Joshua, Caleb, Seth Arrizola, Taylor Cox, Brandon & Benjamin Arrizola. One great grandchild, Jake Henry Childs
