

1958, to the late Wilson Charles and Mamie Lee Wilson. He
was preceded in death by his brother, David Wayne Wilson and
his nephew, Alfred Gene Rhodes, Jr.
Eric departed this life on August 20, 2020. He had an
exceptional artistic talent in drawing which was realized before
he entered elementary school. The family relocated to Houston,
Texas in 1968 when Eric was nine years old.
Eric received his elementary and high school education from the
Houston Independent School District. His artistic drawing talent
was nourished and encouraged throughout his education
experience. After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, he attended
Junior College, earning a certificate in drafting. His career in architectural drafting and
design was started and continued for more than 35 years. Eric retired as Senior
Draftsman from Celeros Flow Technology in May 2020 of this year.
He was a member of Fallbrook Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Terrell Jamal Wilson; three sisters, Mamie
Louise Shorten, Ernestine Wilson Rhodes, and Alice Faye McKinleyHenry; five nieces,
Marie McKinley Chandler, Michelle McKinleyHunter, Monica McKinleySingh, Rachel
Elaine Rhodes and Tabitha Sherlyn Rhodes; two nephews, Joseph Clarence Shorten,
III and Michael Ray McKinley; two aunts, Helen Johns Perkins (Vern) and Bobbie
Wilson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
