Erminia Balderas Rivera

Erminia Balderas Rivera, born March 24, 1948, in Devine Texas was called to her heavenly home on Monday, July 31, 2023. She married Antonio S. Rivera where they moved to Houston, Texas and have four children. She was a strong woman, a dedicated housewife, and wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and school volunteer. Her greatest passion was to have her family together, cook for her family, dance the night away to her favorite music, and have her garden and yard full of beautiful roses and climbing ivies.

Erminia is preceded in death by her mother Maria Garses, her father Francisco Garses, two sisters Paulina Arguello and Frances Morales. She is survived by husband Antonio S. Rivera, her son Antonio B. Rivera and his wife Amanda Cordova, her daughters: Joann J. Bustillo and her husband Miguel A. Bustillo, Trinidad B. Chaffee and her husband Joseph A. Chaffee, Inocencia G. Rivera and her husband Gustavo Romero, Grandchildren: Antonio Rivera III, Joseph Rivera, Samantha M. Rivera, Christina J. Rivera, Gabriela R. Rivera, Felicia M. Arriaga, Victoria D. Arriaga, Michael J. Arriaga, Asdrubal Andres Azanza, Veronica N. Rivera, Jacob A. Postel, Johnny A. Peña, Kristina G. Romero, Madilyn A. Lopez, Anastasia E. Lopez, Destiny M. Lopez, Aubrey P. Romero, Giovanni G. Lopez, Nora-Evelyn G. Baeza, Great Grandchildren: Adrian Rivera, Dominic Rivera, Dante Rivera, Nayelli Garica, Kim Garcia, Jaime Jr. Garcia, Mia Chirrino, Emma Chirrino, Anahi Rivera, Alexis Young, Isom Young, Miguel Young, Mercedes A. Vidaurri, Amber A. Arriazola, Jimmy J. Arriazola, Giovanni J. Arriazola, Isaac E. Arriazola, Lissette M. Romaldo, German A. Romaldo Jr., Raymond J. Romaldo, Leilani N. Romaldo, Liam M. Peña and Isaiah A. Postel, and her sister Adelaida Garses.

Serving as pallbearers are Antonio B. Rivera Jr., Antonio Rivera III, Joseph Rivera, Michael J. Arriaga, Jacob A. Postel, Johnny A. Peña, Giovanni G. Lopez, Jimmy J. Arriazola III and Antonio S. Rivera who will be walking along.

A visitation for Erminia will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A service will occur Monday, August 7, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A committal will occur Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery, 13401 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
