It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Esther Gallegos Gutierrez, who departed from this world at the age of 87. She left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by all who knew her.
Esther Gallegos Gutierrez was born on May 29, 1936, to Adolfo and Consuelo Gallegos in Agua Nueva, Texas. From a young age, she displayed a remarkable zest for life and a compassionate spirit that endeared her to everyone she encountered. Throughout her 87 years, she touched countless hearts with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
In 62 years of marriage, Esther Gallegos Gutierrez embarked on a journey of love and companionship with her devoted husband, Vicente Zertuch Gutierrez. Together, they shared 62 years of marital bliss, weathering life's joys and challenges side by side. Their bond was a testament to the power of enduring love and mutual respect, inspiring all who knew them.
Esther Gallegos Gutierrez will be fondly remembered for her boundless love for her family. She was a matriarch, always ready with a listening ear, words of wisdom, and unconditional love. Her presence illuminated every gathering, her laughter infectious, and her wisdom profound.
Esther Gallegos Gutierrez was preceded in death by her husband, Vicente Zertuch Gutierrez, her parents Adolfo and Consuelo Gallegos, brother Carlos. She is survived by her son, Erasmo Gutierrez Sr. (Sandra), and daughter, Catarina Gutierrez. 3 Grandchildren, Leslie Michell Garcia, Erasmo Gutierrez, Jr. and Cassandra Vargas, (Rick). 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great, Great, Grandson. Sisters Adelfa, Maria, Carmen, Irma, Sylvia and brothers Jesus, Ismael (Sandra), Joe, David (Bertha). Several nieces and nephews. They will continue to honor her memory and carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
Though she may no longer walk among us, Esther Gallegos Gutierrez will forever remain in our hearts as a shining example of grace, resilience, witty, and love. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service for Esther will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022.
