Esther Marie Smith, 83, was born in Topeka, KS to Albertina M. Schupman Jacobs and Alexander Jacobs on December 28, 1932. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 21, 2016. Esther loved going to church, playing with her grandchildren and boating around the lake.
Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Don Smith and her sisters: Elsie, Ruby and Mildred. Left to cherish her memories are children: James & Carrie Smith, Nathan & Sharon Smith, Gloria & Royce Binnion, Virginia Williams, William Smith, Michael Smith; siblings: William Jacobs & wife Ann, Larry Jacobs & wife Roxanne and sister-in-law Sandra Lee, as well as 17 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Visitation will be Friday, June 24,2016 from 6-8p.m. Funeral service will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016, with interment immediately following in Brookside Memorial Park. A reception will be held at 1:00p.m. at 25130 Lamar Lane, Porter, TX 77365.
