Ezzat Aziz Bakhoum, 79, of Cairo, Egypt, passed away on December 16, 2023, in Houston, TX. He was born on May 11, 1944 to his late father Aziz Bakhoum Solomon and his late mother Anissa Ibrahim Shehata. Ezzat never met a stranger and was known by many and loved by all for his charisma, generosity, and big heart. Ezzat's spirit will forever live on in the stories told by those who cherished him. His endurance, generosity, and faith serve as lessons for how to live a full life.
Ezzat is survived by his wife of 43 years Cristina S. Bakhoum, his daughters Tatiana and Cristina Bakhoum, his brother Roushdy A. Bakhoum (wife; Rauth/Afaf Bakhoum), his nieces and nephews Ray, Patricia (husband; John Chargois), Bob (wife; Mary Bakhoum), and Hedy Bakhoum and her sons; George and Michael Bakhoum as well as a host of other family members both in the USA and Egypt. He was preceded in death by his late sister Alice Bakhoum and his late brothers Shoukry, Gamal, and Rifaat Bakhoum, and his late nephew Nabil Bakhoum.
A man of deep faith, Ezzat was a member of St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church of Houston, where he worshipped. The funeral service will be held at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church of Houston, located at 424 Mulberry Ln, Bellaire, TX 77401 on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77077, is assisting with the burial arrangements.
