Fannie Eugenia Thomas, 98, passed into eternal rest on July 28, 2020. She was born February 4, 1922 at home in Walker County, Texas to parents Fannie and William Love. Eugenia was an excellent seamstress and tailor and used her talent to help many friends and family. She retired from Palais Royal with 31 years of service. She was an active member of the Church of Christ for 82 years.
Eugenia is preceded in death by her parents Fannie Susan and William Thomas Love, husband of 58 years Mabry Thomas and daughter Nelda Sue. Left to cherish her memories are daughter Rhonda Melton; sons Leo Thomas, Randle Thomas; grandchildren: Celeste Barrow, Nathan Melton, Neal Melton, James Thomas, Whitney Samadani; 12 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Mae Bush; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Love, Clouis Love and Alice Love.
A visitation for Eugenia will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
