Fina Gonzalez

Fina Posada Gonzalez passed away on September 26, 2014 in Houston, Texas at the age of 60. She was born in Santiago de Cuba to Emilio and Georgina Posada. Her family came from Cuba to the United States in 1961 and lived in Miami and Tampa, Florida. She attended St. Hugh's and Carrollton Sacred Heart School. After she graduated from high school, she attended the University of South Florida. In her career, she worked in the banking and insurance businesses. In Houston, Texas she met the "love of her life", Ray Gonzalez.

Fina will always be remembered for her zest and love for life. Her life was centered around her husband and her two sons. She was, also the life of the party and if there was no party, she would start one. She was kind and generous to all. She has many friends who will miss her dearly.

Fina was predeceased by her father, Emilio Posada, and her brother, Eddie Posada. She is survived by her husband, Ray Gonzalez; two sons, Alex Gonzalez and Gus Gonzalez; her mother Georgina Puyol Posada; seven siblings, Ina Ata (Javed) Tona Mendoza (Arturo), Angeles Sink (Stephen), Emilio G. Posada, Fernando Posada, Gustavo Posada (Maria Landa), Leonor Maria Wells (Stuart). In addition, she is survived by various cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 W. 34TH Street, Houston, Texas 77018, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations can be made to the Lymphoma Cancer Society.
