She married the love of her life, Thomas Scardino, in 1955 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church where her final mass will be. Her most important job was that of a mother, but she impacted many lives as part of her nursing career. She graduated from Sacred Heart Dominican College as an RN and worked in the nursing field for over 50 years. Her various roles as a nurse are too numerous to mention, but psychiatric care and school nursing were amongst her favorite.
Floreine was a long-time resident of Houston and member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Later in life she had the privilege to move back to the family farm where she was born and enjoyed her last years with her husband, siblings and children.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers who believe their calling is more than a job, and Floreine was more than a client. To all of you, she loved and appreciated you more than you could ever know.
