

Floyd Marion White “Shady Floyd”, loving husband and father of three children, passed away January 4, 2022 at the age of 94. Floyd was born on November 30, 1927 in Goose Creek, Texas to Evelyn Johnson and Will Lewis White.
Floyd attended the University of Houston. He spent 37 years working as a Senior Land Agent for Gulf Oil Corporation on the West Coast and in Alaska. During his career, Floyd also spent time as a Draftsman Assistant. He was active in the Petroleum Landsman Association. Floyd served in the United States Navy. He was a Mason and lived his life with honor and integrity. Floyd had a passion for playing the guitar, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Evelyn; his twin brother, Lloyd White; his sister, Lorraine Davidson; and his former wife, Nancy White. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Patsy Oxley White; sons Paul White and James White; daughter Mellissa White Gurasz; and stepdaughter, Sheryl Prescott. Floyd will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Will, Katie, Hallie, Carl, Eric, and Natalie, three step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
A visitation service will be held on Sunday, January 9th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Floyd will be laid to rest on Monday, January 10th at 12:30 p.m., both at Memorial Oaks Funeral Homes & Cemetery.
