Francisca Fernandez Herrera, age 93, our mom’s spirit has left her earthly body to return home. She was born in Wharton, Texas to Oscar (Arturo) Fernandez and Anastacia Lopez Fernandez. Resided in San Antonio, Texas when she went home, the majority of her life she lived in Houston and surrounding area.
She later met Jorge Adrian Herrera at their place of employment in Houston, Texas. They married on February 14 and had four daughters. They were married for 41 years.
Mom had a passion for crafts. To name a few - she loved sewing quilts, aprons, pot holders and many more items. She would crochet in her spare time. She made these for home and to sell, including the best tamales ever! Enjoyed gardening, music and singing. Also enjoyed eating out, She would frequently remind us that she ate three times a day.
After dad’s passing mom was big on self improvement. She sought tutoring on reading, writing and math
She was a devoted Christian and loved God with all her heart, raising her daughters as Christians. Later in life she volunteered at Assistance Ministries. No doubt she is in heaven.
Mom, you are missed, but will forever live in our hearts. We love you and thanks for your love.
