Frances Lucille Martin, age 96, of Houston, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. She was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on February 11, 1929 to parents H.H. Oliver and Plona Mayfield. She met her husband Winford R. Martin in Texarkana, Arkansas and they later adopted their beautiful daughter Vicki L. Martin.
Frances and Winford had a wonderful marriage of 54 years. Frances was a member of Uvalde Baptist Church for 50 plus years and had a great passion for her faith. Frances also had a passion for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frances was a beautiful christian woman and touched the lives of each and everyone of us. She will be missed by many and cherished by all.
She was preceded in death by her (husband) Winford R. Martin and (daughter) Vicki L. Martin.
She is survived by her (grandchildren) Derek Kubond, Chris Kubond, and Jennifer Hallmark. (great-grandchildren) Evan Kubond, Audrey Kubond, and Brian Younghans

A visitation for Frances will be held Monday, May 5, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service is scheduled to follow and begin promptly at 2:30 PM in Brookside's Grand Oak Chapel. Burial will take place in Brookside Memorial Park.
