Francisco Javier Vences

Francisco Javier Vences “Jarocho” 65 of Houston, Texas a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born September 5, 1958 in Matamoros, Mexico to Angel and Maria Medina Vences. He was a spiritual man who loved and served God. He had a wonderful heart and would help anyone in need; he served as a missionary, was a wonderful singer and loved to cook. He was also a Dallas Cowboy’s Fan and enjoyed watching them with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Juanita Martinez Vences; son, Anthony Vences, daughter, Blanca Vences and husband, Luis Hernandez and son, Vincent Elizalde and wife, Carolina; grandchildren, Jonathan Hernandez, Emma Elizalde, Nolan Elizalde and Zuri Elizalde; brothers, Angel Vences Jr and wife, Martha; Gabriel Vences and wife, Hannah; sisters, Sylvia Sanchez and husband, Agustin and Martha Perez and husband, Enrique along with other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ricardo Vences and sister, Maria E. Montes.

Visitation will be held, Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 11:00am until 3:00pm with a prayer service at 1:00pm.
