There were so many amazing things about you, it would be challenging to call out a few. Nonetheless, what has always stood out most about you was your love of God, your children and your grandson. I pray that God will continue to watch over and protect them and give your family the strength that they need to get through this challenging time. Rest in love gentle giant! Rest in love❤️

Fred,
Hard to gather the words to say and express how we feel. Everything is a reminder of you, your smile and laugh. Our last days with you are special and perfect. Our kids love you and miss you. And my heart is broken without you. Caedyn said he was going to be big and strong like his dada and we both know he’s not to far from that at 3. Our daughter Caylee like you is quiet about her feelings. But thinks of your funny ways. I know we aren’t alone. We know you will watch over us always. We love you always and miss you. And I will kiss the kids for you as you always ask. Rest and know you are in our hearts.

Coach Barnes was my brother, he made sure I always had a smile on my face (my husband died in July of 2020) Coach Barnes had the other coaches checking on me,
one day he told me to come to the gym at 11:00, when I did, he told the 1st graders that we had a special guest (me, Mrs, Martin)
they played the song "cutie pie, you brighten up my day...."
everyone started to dance, and have a good time.
Thanks Coach Barnes i will always love you.
you will be truly missed by all.
Thanks for calling me your CP, I will always remember you whenever I hear that song.
Rest in God's amazing peace my brother.

Barnes,
What can I say big brother. You know that I am never at a loss for words. I ALWAYS have something to say. This time, for the first time in life, I’m almost speechless and can’t put into words on how deep I am hurting with you not being here. This pain cuts deep as if we are blood relatives man. Seeing you in the gym daily cracking jokes with me and Coach Spencer, me scooping the back of your head saying “wassup baldilocks”, watching Coach Landry getting on to you to check you back into place when something didn’t quite sit right with you, the many memories of us all just having fun in the gym and zoom like a family, is priceless. I am going to miss you big brother because you got on my nerves daily, just like I got on yours lol. At the end of the day, we had mad love for each other like a brother and sister would. I miss you my brother. Although gone in the flesh, your spirit and the memories will forever live on and never be forgotten. Love you man.

What’s up brother, this has been extremely hard for me. Your energy bro! It kept me alive. Man, we had some real life conversations. The realist thing you told me was how proud you were of your kids bro and that your son was going to be big on the wrestling thing. You kept everyone laughing and was always honest on how you felt. I’ll leave with saying this, blood couldn’t make us closer.

Fred,
Thank you for being a big brother, uncle and most importantly an amazing friend. I’ll miss all the laughs, jokes and your more than charming spirit. You may be gone from our sight but you are never gone from our hearts. I couldn’t have asked for a better colleague. You were the biggest piece to our (crazy) puzzle and we will miss you dearly. It was a pleasure working with you and your memory will always live on forever.

Ole blackyboo. You are going to be soooo missed man. Please know that your presence left a major impact on so many lives. It was an honor being your coworker but on a coaching team that was more like a family. Working on side you helped us all get through day to day, with all the laughs and jokes and good vibes. I’ll miss our talks and inside jokes. We all was so in sync and rhythmic. You’re a big piece of our puzzle and you will be sooo missed. Fly high.

Fred(Gator),
I sit and think about the last time we talked. I can see the smile on your face as you laughed. We had so so many great times and memories at Sul Ross. Who would ever had known we would still keep in touch. The times we would just chill and hang out. We acted a fool a lot, cause we were young. Hanging out at the Heights the place we called home. We all did just about everything together. Laughed cried, fought, but we always should love. Sitting in the UC on the couches was a good hangout spot, plus we played free pool when you was there. Sure gonna miss you my dude. You get to see us all now and we can really look up to you. God was ready for you to come home. Rest easy bro.

Fred,
Who would have ever thought that I would be writing this right now. We had so much fun during our last conversation. All the laughing and joking that we were doing. To think that we will not be able to do that again is just unbearable. We have had a 33 year friendship, joined at the hip since I was 16 years old. You were my husband and continued to be my best friend. I miss you. We miss you. Words can not express the emptiness that I feel. I pray that you are at peace and you are able to rest. I know that to be absent with the body is to be present with the Lord. I am comforted in knowing that we having another angel looking down on us. Cameron, Xeno and I will be alright. We are surrounded by so much love. Until I see you again. Love you always.

Uncle Chubby, thank you for being the best uncle a niece could ask for. I’m so honored to have been able to be apart of your life. I still don’t understand why, but obviously God needed you a little more. I love you and I’ll never forget you. Get your rest.
