It's been four years since you left.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and miss you.

Christmas is right around the corner again.   Seems unreal that you won't be here with your family.  I came to see you about a week ago.  I had not cried as hard as I did that day as when you first left us all.  I will never get over you being taken so early.  You should still be here.
I miss you every day in some way, big or small.  Give your mom a hug for me, what a neat lady.

Three years today.  Still cannot believe you're gone.

Today made one year since you left us.  Not a day has gone by since you left that I don't recall something about you, or think of you.  Tiffani and I are good friends like the old days, the only good thing that came out of any if this. We all love, and miss you.

Why do the good people always die young?  You were so selfless and so strong like no other guy I have ever known.  Every day I hate knowing you are gone.  Every day I think it's  bad dream and somebody is going to say you're back.  I miss you Gary.

Never heard the song "Old Lord it's Hard to be Humble" so many times since you left.  That was the song you sang to the mirror, magically grabbing mine and Tiffani's attention, every time.   You sure got it!  I can't help but turn it up and smile when I hear it on old country radio now.  The Gary Costa anthem always going forward.   We all miss you.

Still cannot wrap my head around you being gone.  You are missed more than you know.

It's a week from Christmas, and it doesn't feel real that you won't be with your family for the holiday.  I wake up almost every day since you died thinking about what you endured and how you didn't deserve it.  It's unbelievable, and heart wrenching  to me that you are gone.  You were so incredibly giving of your time, and your life, to your parents, your Aunt Mary and anyone else you could help, and now your gone.  I spent Thanksgiving with the "Costa bunch" for the  first time ever.   What a nice suprise that I was invited.  It was real nice, except you weren't at the table.   We were at your mom's house.  I felt your spirit there the whole day and sensed that you saw all of us because of your picture that hangs in the kitchen by your dad.  Your mom, Tiffani, Toni, Randi Renae, Liz and I went to a Christmas service in your honor about two weeks ago.  Your mom recieved a Christmas ornament on your behalf.  I had a tough time with it all that day.  Your mom did too.  It felt like your funeral, the beautiful Christmas tree on display, and the beautiful music, the candle light singing of Silent Night.   You were a one of a kind man, the most wonderful part of you was your heart.  I will never forget you and I will do all I can to keep your memory alive.  We all miss you Gary, and wish you were still here.  Rest easy, and know how much you are loved, today and every day.

I'm the childhood friend who grew up with Gary and Tiffani.  Oh the memories!  The many times Gary got a mop in the face trying to watch the girls swin through another neighbors fence, the night your house got wrapped on Del Rey Lane and you busted all of us while in action with Peter Corbett.  The crazy time Tiffani and I stayed at yours and Frank's apartment one night to act like "big girls."  The sleep overs on Del Rey Lane that Tiffani had and you aggravated us poking your head in the room constantly all night. The night on the porch at my apartment in Richmond with Tiffani and Richard.  The Papadeaux's incident (where we were asked to leave) Lol!  The night we all watched Tiffani get married.  Our many telephone conversations. The list of memories I have of you are endless.   Gary, my friend, I loved and love you.  There will never be another you, ever.  Your life on earth was cut too short and I am so very sorry that.  I hope you will always know what a good man you were, caring of your parents, selfless acts of kindness.  I will miss you forever!  May God keep you and your dad now joined together, and hold you both close.  I love you Gary.

My sweet little brother I am going to miss you so much! I have so many wonderful memories I will hold close to my heart. I remember your protective instincts towards those you loved. I’ll cherish the memories of our many nights of poker playing. Gary and I always loved walking into the house and smelling the fresh bake cookies you made for the evening. The funny jokes and stories you told…in the middle of the game of course! I’ll remember your contagious laugh, your loving heart, fighting spirit and most definitely your love for our country. But my fondest memory of you will always be the extraordinary care you gave our parents and Aunt Mary. I have never seen anyone give so much of them self so effortlessly. You were a true blessing in our lives. My sweet brother you have earned that beautiful spot in paradise! Give dad a big hug and kiss for me! I will always love you.

Gary, I will miss our phone conversations talking about politics, family & whatever else came to mind. You had a way to always make me laugh, despite my troubles. It didn’t matter how much time passed since our last conversation, we just picked up where we left off.  I remember giving you a hard time about fixing dinner for you & your mom so late. You were always so attentive & took such great care of her. You were a good guy & an even better friend -I’m gonna miss you. Rest In Peace 

Oh Gary! Your contagious laugh is gonna be so missed. I remember down at the beach when we were younger, and that float blew way with the wind, and I ran after it with all my might and we couldn’t stop laughing. The stories I would tell you just for shock value to gross you out.  All those years you tried to protect me, your little sis.  Your protection and caregiving you gave Dad, Aunt Mary and then mom was above and beyond what the rest of us could do. Even in death you were giving away your possessions, because that is always what you did. You would give the shirt off your back and wouldn’t think twice.  You died still fighting til the end. You never gave up when most of us probably would. Brother you fought a good fight but in the end, dad needed you and Jesus called you home. Be free Gary from the pain and suffering and know you are so loved and missed by all. Fly high.......

I found you two years ago after many years of searching. The day I met you was like a dream. You surprised me with a big banner that said We Missed You Sis. Everyone was so loving and made me feel so at home. It was such a special day I will never forget. I have had great times with you on Fridays while doing your mothers hair.  We have had lots of good conversations about all the worlds  problems. I don’t have a lot of memories, but the ones I do are in my heart forever. Love you little brother I will miss you so much.

Oh Gary Costa, even though it's been awhile since I've seen you, when I hear your name it still makes me smile. Today when I think of you I'm very saddened by thought of any pain you have endured but know that you can be at peace now. I will always treasure the memories of how you insisted on being the boss of Tiff and I when we were growing up but being that I was an only child we let you and your other siblings be the Boss😄 You will be so missed here by so many but as for me until we meet again I will always remember your contagious laugh your mischievous smile whether it was around the Costa family poker table or when you thought you were the Boss and your huge heart❤

Some of my favorite memories are playing poker at your mom's house.  Me and you would start telling stories and laughing when we should have been paying attention, making us lose our place in the game, making the others mad, and we would laugh even more and tell more stories!  God has a special place reserved for you Gary Costa.  You will be remembered well.

You were the person that taught me how to fish. One year down in surf side, high tide came in at 3:00 am and you had told me the night before, “Payton if you want to go fishing again you have to get up super early”. Everyone laughed saying I wouldn’t get up that early, but I did. When I came to wake you up you were hard asleep and didn’t want to get up but you did. We went down to the beach ready to fish, and it was full of seaweed. We tried to catch something anyways and we did, seaweed not fish.

Uncle Gary,
You will be truly missed. Your laugh and smile was infectious. You were always full of funny stories, jokes, and humor. I remember when mom and dad went on a vacation when I was in college and Afton was in high school, you came to “babysit”, though really I think you stayed the week to make sure we didn’t throw any parties. We stayed up late watching the news and you waited up for me when I came home late from waitressing. I remember when mom and dad returned from vacation, I wasn’t home and you left me a heart-shaped note telling me you would miss me. You were always a great uncle and I will miss you so much.

He was always “there” for family and friends whenever needed. Never made an excuse that he couldn’t help, no matter what was needed. He was there. He was an amazing caregiver for Mom and Dad. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him, and his smile and sense of humor will endure with us forever. Gonna miss you bro. May angels lead him in.

Uncle Gary,  I am thankful my parents found yall after so many years,  and that I got to meet you.  I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to get to know you more.   Rest in Peace.
