Geary Alan Joe, 62, died early on Sunday morning. Geary, native Houstonian, and youngest of three brothers, grew up in the grocery business, "Ge" as he was affectionately known to his siblings and cousins, together spent endless hours hiding in empty grocery boxes and playing between the aisles as their parents worked in the family store. Geary worked in many jobs but was most comfortable working as an electrician. Geary married the love of his life, Mary, and together had three daughters, Chantle, Jeannetta, and Nikole. Geary idolized his children and spent endless hours playing and laughing with them. All of his daughters have remarked what a wonderful father he was. Later on, the girls also commented on what a wonderful grandfather he was spending many hours playing with his grandchildren,. Many found him a good listener, compassionate, generous, and kind. All of the girls credited him with their strength and values and how he always believed in them. He was always there for a friend in need and no favor was too big to ask. Many recall his love for all kinds of music to include Stevie Ray, Vaughn, Jim Hendrix, Blues, and Eagle music. You might find him with the music cranked up and him so content just to listen to his tunes. Geary shared his love of music with his brothers, Victor and Bruce. Both brothers were charged with looking after him which was demonstrated by both well into his adult life. Geary struggled at times and lost contact with Victor and Bruce (deceased), but mentioned them and his mother in a loving way. In the midst of the struggles, he never stopped loving his girls, They knew it then and even in their grief, they are comforted to know that he will always be a part of so many who loved him dearly.
