

Mike was born February 4, 1934 in Franklin, Kentucky to Geroge M. and Lucy Conner II.
Mike was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 59 years, Florence L. Conner; his mother Lucy Conner Tolbert and stepfather L.J.; and his father George M. Conner II.
Mike is survived by his son Mike and daughter-in-law Julie of Austin, Texas; his daughter Laura Conner Todd and son-in-law Tyler of Cypress, Texas; and four beautiful grandchildren, Madison Conner, Michael David Conner, Dawson Todd and Braxton Todd.
Mike’s parents moved from Kentucky in the late 1930’s to Houston where he would grow up becoming a longtime Houstonian. He graduated high school from San Jacinto Senior High in 1951 and went on to attend the University of Houston graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. On June 6, 1965, Mike married the love of his life Florence Lostracco. They built a wonderful life together in Houston, raising two children and later moving to Schulenburg, Texas in 1977. Later in 1998 Mike and Flo would move to Round Rock, Texas to be close to both their children and grandchildren. Their final move was back to the Houston area in Cypress, Texas in 2006 where they were able to be involved with the daily lives of their children and grandchildren. This time will be forever cherished.
Mike was a Master Mason, Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite. He had a passion for drawing and design and if you ever had the opportunity to sit with him, he was sure to show you one of his many projects and was always willing to teach.
Mike’s life was selfless, loyal, loving and always there for anyone who needed him. He adored his grandchildren as much as they adored him; he would always light up when he saw them. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren with all his heart. Mike and Flo’s faith was unwavering, and they had a ritual of saying the Lord’s Prayer every night before they went to bed. He will forever be missed.
