George was born on April 17, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to George Ferguson Cutler Sr. and Kathreen Donnell Cutler. He was raised with a great sense of humor that he got from his dad.
On April 28, 1973, George married the love of his life, Robbie. Together they built a life filled with laughter, and unwavering support. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed collecting items from the 1950s and 1960s—including records, radios, statues, figurines, and a restored jukebox he loved playing for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking in his free time. His lifelong career was centered around the car business, starting in sales and moving his way to service and management. An avid family historian, he spent much time researching his ancestry and those of loved ones. With his Irish heritage, St. Patrick’s Day was a favorite holiday; he loved listening to bagpipes and Irish music at the pub while enjoying a good frosty beverage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donny Cutler; his sister, Nancy Womack; and his son, George Cutler III.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Robbie; his brothers, Ken Cutler and Richard Cutler; his sons, Kenny Franklin and wife Shelly, Bobby Franklin and wife Carol; and Gary Cutler: his daughter, Kym Fiallos; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many cousins and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Acara Hospice, especially Ashley, for the compassionate care and comfort provided to George in his final hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in George’s memory to the American Kidney Fund.
George’s legacy of love, strength, and dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
