George, a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend, was a man defined by his hard work, steady hands, and generous heart. He lived each day with quiet strength, always putting his family first and offering his unwavering support to those around him. To his children, he was a guiding light and provider; to his grandchildren, a source of joy and pride; to his siblings, a rock of reliability; to his co-workers & friends, a loyal mentor.
Those who knew George will remember his deep love for family, dedication to work, carpentry talent, passion for the Astros and his lawn, and his knack for fixing just about anything. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled, the love he shared, and the many lives he touched.
George was born December 8, 1958 in Melchor Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Jorge A. Gamboa Sr. & Lucrecia Romo Gamboa. George is preceded in death by his oldest sister Norma Gamboa Gomez. He is survived by his parents, his siblings, Martha Gamboa, Veronica Gamboa Rivera and spouse Andrew Rivera, Diana Gamboa White and spouse Loyd White, Edward Gamboa and brother-in-law, Efrain Gomez; His 3 children, Jessica Gamboa, Jorge A. Gamboa III and spouse Priscilla Gamboa, Jillian Gamboa Timberlake and spouse Colby Timberlake. His 6 grandchildren David & Juliana Gamboa, Charlotte & Jorge A. Gamboa IV, and Noah & Demi Timberlake, along with the mother of his children, Laura Mata Gamboa.
Family & friends are invited to attend a funeral service to honor George’s life, to be held on Saturday, 09/06/2025 at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions. Viewing will begin at 9 AM followed by a afternoon service.
