Georgie Russie, 88, of Northwest Houston. Beloved wife of Stanley, mother of Mary Martin, Kathleen Schrader and Stanley Russie (all deceased) cherished grandmother and sister, passed away on April 20, 2012. She is survived by her sister, Rossie Gilbert, brother, Joe Hollingsworth, grandsons, Jeffrey and Michael Russie, Brent Schrader, granddaughters, Dr. Tara Reilly, Carissa Bishop and Amanda Griffin and son in law, John Martin.
Georgie worked as a nurse for Drs. Frank and Agnes McKay and proudly served on the Houston Fire Department Local 341 Ladies Auxiliary and for 30 years as Texas Water Board Director for Langham Creek MUD.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in the State Room at the Hunters Creek Chapel of Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston, TX 77023.
