Gilberto M Lopez

He grew up in Center Point, Texas, and later moved to Detroit, Michigan. He joined the Army in June of 1955 at the age of 24 years old. He was stationed in San Fransico and was honorable discharged in June of 1957.

He was a loyal worker for the USS Steel company (Zug Island) for 45 years as a Master Electrician. He married Amelia Hernandez in June of 1986, and with her passing in December 2007, he relocated to Houston, Texas, in 2007, where he enjoyed his life with his niece and nephews.

Gilberto was preceded by siblings: Rosa M. Greene, Manuel Lopez, Esther Perez, Alex Lopez, Guadalupe Lopez.

He leaves his cherished memories to Brothers/Sisters: Antonio Lopez, Henry Lopez, Camilo Lopez, Nancy Lopez, Frank Lopez, and Polly Lopez.

During his lifetime, he played a hand in raising his nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Gilberto will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A celebration of life service will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Roselane St. Houston, Texas 77037. A committal service will occur, March 16, 2022 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
