Gladys L. Cryer

Gladys L. Cryer, age 81, of Porter, Texas passed into eternal rest on Monday August 14, 2017. Gladys was born November 26, 1935 in Grapeland, Texas. She was raised by parents Louise and Calvin Pearson. Her passion was her family. She loved to cook and host family gatherings.

Gladys is survived by; son James Henry Cryer & Tina; son George Edward Cryer & Kerry; son Robert Lee Cryer & Shannon; and son John Elvie Cryer & Kim; sibling Benny & Maxine Person, grandchildren: Tonya, Melanie, Rhonda, Christie, James, Anthony "AJ", Amber, Courtney, Robert Dale, Robert Lee, Cody, Taylor and great-grandchildren: Ethan, Tessa, Makenzie, Elijah, Moses, Noah, Clarissa, Blake, Hope, Jake, Sabrina, Haley, Olivia, Houston, Tiffany, Hayden, Andrew, Joshua, Meagan.

Gladys was preceded in death by; daughter Cathy Ann Cryer; mother Vera Louise Pearson and father Calvin Pearson; siblings Jacky Wayne Pearson, and Betty & Billy Minor, and grandchild Jennifer Cryer.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway,

Houston, Texas 77039. The funeral will be in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home on Saturday, August, 19, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
