

Glenn Gregory Evans, 63, Houston, TX, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 from a long illness. He was born in Jackson, MS, to Clyde Evans and Imogene (Nickie) Stribling Evans, on Oct. 14, 1952. He moved to Houston in 1955. He attended Fondren High School and formed many long time friendships. He entered the U.S. Army in 1972 and served overseas in Kaiserslautern, Germany, as a Specialist 4th class, Personnel Data Analyst, and was honorably discharged in 1977. He was locally employed at CGG, a Geoscience company, for 20 years as a Processing Geophysicist. Prior to his illness he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping, gardening and barbecuing his favorite brisket. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by brother Richard (Diane), of Alexandria, VA. Thank you to his nearby neighbors and friends who watched over him during his long period of illness and were always willing to assist him with his needs. And a special Thank You to his caregiver, Geneva, who treated him like family and was always there every day to provide care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Glenn’s honor may be made to the National Stroke Association (www.stroke.org) or the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (www.dvnf.org).
