Gordon Alan Derouen was born on November 3, 1932 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Gilbert E. and Mary Maxine Derouen. He passed away on September 12, 2015 in Sugarland, TX. Gordon is survived by his children, Cindy Jones, Diane Derouen, and Gordon Derouen Jr.; grandchildren, Michelle Dearmond, Travis Jonas, and Michael Alvarado.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. They were married for sixty three years and she was the love of his life. They did get to enjoy many adventures and some quality time spent traveling together.
Gordon lived in Sugarland, TX for most of his life. He was an outdoorsman and sportsman which reflected in some of his interests such as being an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a long career in the oil industry as a petroleum engineer and was the owner of his own oil company.
A private funeral service for family will be held later this week. We hope you will say a prayer for him as the travels to meet his Lord and is reunited with all of his friends and family that have gone on before him.
