She was born in Rockdale, TX on July 24, 1923 to parents Ollie and Carrie (Matthews) Cook, they preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her son Gary Daniel and her two sisters, Pearl and Dell.
On December 23, 1941 Hazel married Charles Daniel in Lexington, TX, he passed away in 2012.
Hazel is survived by her two sons, Gregory Daniel and Darrell Daniel, several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Rockdale High School and worked as an office assistant before retirement. She enjoyed dancing, sewing and spending time with family and friends.
A visitation for Hazel will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
