Helen Dorothy Trigg was born in Columbus, Georgia on January 25th ,1945. She passed away on January 17th, 2022 at the age of 76 years old with her daughter Tammy by her side. Helen was a woman of great faith. She was caring and loving to all. She treated everyone as family from the very beginning. She always kept her house open for her friends and family. Her house was often filled with her nieces and nephews along with her children’s friends who would call her Mom as though she was their mother, too. She put her heart and soul in everything she did, especially family. She wore many different hats for during her time of working. She worked as a secretary, she owned and managed Gulf Aluminum and worked as a home healthcare nurse. That doesn’t include the time she spent taking care of different family members. She was always a caregiver to anyone who needed her. In her spare time, when not spending it with family, she loved to sew, paint, sculpt and learn new crafts. She also had a passion for her grandchildren, Justin and Cameron. She loved every part of being a grandparent and great-grandparent to Hayden. She endured great trials in her life, but her heart stayed pure.
She is preceded in death by (Mother) Mary LaSoya, (Father) Joe Vance Lites, (Brother) Minor Joe Lites, (Husband) Prentiss Head, (Daughter) Cherrie Lynn Gipson, (Son) Jimmy Dale Head.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Head, grandchildren: (Grandson) Justin Head and wife Devon Head, (Grandson) Cameron Wilkinson, (Grandson) James Wilkinson Jr. and Wife Nicole Wilkinson;
great-grandchildren: Hayden Head, Haley, Maddy, Lilly, Bella and Charolette Wilkinson; sisters: Jan Johnson and Husband Kern Johnson, Mary Humber and Husband Jerry Humber. Nancy Halliburton and Husband Mike Sample; brothers: Joe Vance Lites Jr. and Rickey LaSoya as well as a host of other family and friends.
