

A Celebration Of Life Herbert "Robert" Fontenot 1946 - 2015 Herbert "Robert" Fontenot was born January 14, 1946 to the union of Houston Sr., and Alberta Fisher Fontenot. He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Bartholomew Fontenot of Denver, CO, his brother, Houston Fontenot Jr. of Houston, TX, sister Geraldine Brewer of Beaumont, TX and both of his parents. A native of Beaumont, TX he relocated to Denver, CO at the age of twenty one. He spent the latter years of his life in Houston, TX. For the past year, he worked as an Area Manager for DBI Services. He was affectionately known as Robert Fontenot or Big Rob. He was outgoing and adventurous. He traveled all around the world, visiting the Holy Land, London, England, working as an Industrial Trainer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, working in Mosul, Iraq and most of the states in North America. He was a gifted and remarkable man who was tremendously blessed. He was a man of strong faith. He knew no strangers and related to all cultures. He saw all people as God's people. He lived with the assurance that every step he made was ordered by Our Lord. He is survived by his wife, Shelva J. Fontenot, daughter, Robbie C. Fontenot of Houston, TX, Son, Joel David Fontenot of Denver, CO. Brothers, Daniel (Geneva) Fontenot, Ronnie (Ester) Fontenot, of Beaumont,TX. Sisters, Dorothy Kirkwood, Laura Fontenot, Margaret(Raymond) Chargois and Nancy Fontenot, all of Beaumont, TX. Three grandchildren, Samuel Bartholomew Fontenot Jr., of Denver, CO., Elizabeth and Elijah Fontenot of Houston, TX and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Herbert "Robert" Fontenot will be held: Saturday at New Zion Temple Church 1601 Ruthven St. Houston, TX 77019 Visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Service starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery North
