

She was born on June 13, 1950 in Chapmanville, West Virginia. She moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1961. She attended South High School and graduated in 1968. After graduation, Ida began her career in insurance, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and competitors alike during her 40+ year career. In 1986 Ida, her husband, and children moved to Houston and made their home here. She resided here until her death.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents Lias "Buster"and Dora Mullins and her sister Tillie Mullins.
Ida is survived by her children Elizabeth Runkel and husband Blake; Tommy; Jonny and wife Anna; stepson Rami Al Naser and wife Ciara; grandchildren Max Runkel, Cooper Heckman, Katie, Ellie and Ginny Havens and Ezra Al Naser; "Mauntie " to Nicole Everitt and son Drew. Survivors also include sisters Elouine (Jim) Fortune, Euvalee (Harley) Hainer, Aldine Honeycutt; brothers Adrian Mullins and Arden (Terri) Mullins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
The visitation will be held on April 30 from 6-8pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Frwy. The funeral will be on May 1 at 10am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA, The Robinow Foundation, or The Wounded Warrior Project.
