I had the pleasure of working with my dear friend Ida for many years in Houston.  She was one of my brides maids in 1987.  I have not seen or talked to her in 3 years but that giggle and her love of me and my children and my dog Sheba will stay with me forever.

I knew Ida from her days at Aon. She was an amazing person and my life is so much richer for having the priviledge of knowing her.  My sincere condolences to dear Ida's family, especially her son who was serving in the US forces. She worried so much about you.

I live in Bermuda and there is no selection for any country outside the US, so will leave it at Puerto Rico because its warm and sunny like Bermuda and like Ida!!.

Ida is dancing with the angels now.  Her spirit lives on in all of those she touched.  Miss you Ida and know you will save me a prime seat when we meet again.  Love you so.

I'm heartsick to hear of Ida's passing. She was a brilliant woman, both intellectually and in the way she lit up any room she entered! Working with Ida was more fun than playing with most people. And to play with Ida was to know true joy! I think of her every time I hear 'Stop, In the Name of Love' because I can picture her, Sandy and me 'performing' it. Of course Ida was Diana Ross!! I hope you have as many happy memories of her as I do. It was a gift to have her in my life and you are all in my prayers.

I fell in love with Ida in February of 1956. She was a sparkling, precocious sweetheart of five, soon to turn six; I came to the house to see her sister, but she made sure that she got much of my attention. Ida, I thank my God upon every remembrance of you!! I will cherish you always as full of life, love and laughter!!  You are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure!! I did not know Ida personally but I know her daughter, Elizabeth.  My condolences go out to the family.  Your mom will be with you every day.  Something will remind you of her and you will smile recalling a good memory.

Ida was always smiling and laughing.  She loved her family and dearly loved all of her grandchildren.  I will miss our lunches of ham salad sandwiches that she would make and invite me over.  So sad that the world has lost a truly wonderful woman, grandmother, sister and friend.  R.I.P. sweetheart!

Ida and I met through our daughters who had become close friends several years ago.  We developed our own friendship and shared many great times together.  She was a warm, loving, & generous person that always put the needs of others ahead of her own.  Her greatest love was her family and having them around her.  Until I see you again my friend, I will miss your sweet smile & joyous laugh!
