

Born in San Antonio, Texas, on April 26, 1934, Isabel met Juan Martinez in Weslaco, Texas, and they married. She was a devoted member of Assumption Catholic Church and Mary Magdalene Catholic Church had a passion for cooking, crocheting and family gatherings.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Johnny G. Martinez and her eldest Richard.
Survived by her daughter Rosemary Cadena and her husband Homero, her daughter Sandra Elliott and her husband Mark, and her son Johnny G. Martinez Jr.
Isabel also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Homero Cadena III wife Carmen, Jason, Richard, Gabriel, Josh wife Fatima, Kyle, Tony wife Katelynn and Marina, Eleven great-grandchildren: Valerie Vanessa Husband David, Illiana Isabel, Arriana Abigail, Renee, Andrian, Victor, Jazmine, Blake Sadie, Connor, Riley, Nora Kate and Two Great Great Grandchildren Cash and Saint. She also had Five Sisters and Five Brothers as well as numerous sister and brother in laws along with nephews and nieces and countless friends.
She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Mom and Dad are finally together again.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Accent Hospice team, especially nurse Brenda Todd, for her compassionate care. Slyvia Hamm for prayers and comforting support and Brenda Cantu as her caregiver. Father Norberto Conde for his prayers and always calling her their conversations brought her so much inner peace.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, The Rosary on November 23, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on November 24, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by a graveside service at Brookside Memorial Park from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Pallbearers will include Jason Cadena, Homero Cadena III, Josh Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, and Kyle Elliott, and Tony Elliott.
Deacon Will Hunter of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church will officiate the services.
