It was with such sadness that I heard about the passing of Isaias. I have such wonderful memories of him with his sons at the Angel Tree and Day With Dad events. He was always so excited to spend time with them. I send the whole family prayers for comfort, peace, and many blessings to help them get through this difficult time. With love, Adelaide Biggs

I would like start with my deepest condolences to the family of Isaias. This was a big shock to me when I got the news. I couldn’t believe that he was gone. I was a long time friend from boot camp in 93. He and I were stationed together on Chosin in deck division doing all the dirty work. We did it well and enjoyed every bit off. Isaias has always been a religious and family man with high spirits. He never had a bad day or at least we could never see it. We kept in touch thru the years as he did the reserves and I was on active duty. We were always sharing our memories as we were making them. Recently we reconnected when our kids were going to join the Navy and we would talk about how we could help them so they won’t struggle like we did coming through the ranks. Our kids graduated boot camp just a week apart and we would say what if our kids graduate in the same division. When I was in Great Lakes I happen to see his son because he looks just like him and snapped a picture. I sent it to him and ask if this was his son Jacob. He was like wow it was him. He asked how I picked him out. I was like he looks just like you brother. Their were days that we would talk about the old days, work and end up with our kids. Isaias loved his family and was proud of what all his kids were accomplishing because he would share that with me. Brother I miss you already I wish I could give you a phone call right just to talk. Rest In Peace brother  and until we meet again.

Dear Family and Ruth,

We were deeply shocked with the tragic news from Houston on Wednesday morning. It’s extremely difficult to comprehend cruelty and unfairness of what has happened…loved and respected brother, dad and husband full of energy and passion, he was walking this world with the smile and yet his life had been stopped abruptly, spreading pain sorrow and tears amongst family, friends and colleagues. Please, accept sincere condolence on behalf of Netherlands colleagues, our thoughts and prays go to you and family during this extremely painful and difficult time.

Uncle Isaias was a blessing in the life of many including mine, I will be forever grateful with him because he let me live in his house for months, and all the time he was very kind and he made me laugh with jokes and funny stories, he was a joyful person. I had the blessing to share the table for dinner with him, aunt Olivia and my cousins, For a period of time my uncle and I went toghether to the same college, while he was studying his career, I was studying english, but every day while  driving to college all the time he gave me encouragment and motivation to study hard and not to give up, he really believed that education was the key to success, and he told me that every time, actually, he was the first person who pushed me to practice and talk in english, I was so ashemed to speak it because my English was bad, so every day he gave me encouragment and sometimes he also helped me with my homeworks, I learned a lot while I was living in his home. Uncle Isaisas and aunt Olivia helped me a lot with home, food, love and education, I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL. I also have beautiful memories with Him in Six Flax in San antonio, it was my first time in a huge amusement park he motivaded me to take a ride in a big roller coaster, it was very funny he was laughing at me a lot, because he said that my face and all my screems were crazy and funny. 
I have many more memories with my uncle Isaias and his family, and I thank God for the life of my uncle Isaias and his beautiful family. I will be grateful forever! 
YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN UNCLE ISAIAS YOUR LIGHT WILL BE SHINING FOREVER!!!

Isais and the USS Chosen I will always think of hand in hand.  He loved the US Navy.  I will always remember countless lunches and hanging out together at work.  Made going to work fun because I  knew I would hang out with him and Jose.  Rest In Peace!  I am sure sailing on the USS chosen in the sky. 

Isaias worked for the City Of Houston as a Mechanical Inspector'
although he worked for us for only a little less than 8 months , Isaias showed that he was going to be an exceptional asset to our department. One of the things we try to stress to all new employees that will be Inspectors is that they should study for and take the exam to become certified as a Mechanical Inspector with a recognized CODE Body such as IAPMO. This usually takes about 4-6 months to accomplish if they study and prepare, Isaias was able to do this in 5 weeks . It was amazing and in  just a few months we had the confidence in Isaias to let him go out and do inspections on his own without supervision. Most people would have been happy with that accomplishment, but not Isaias he was a full fledged Mechanical Inspector and he started studying the IECC Energy Code, shortly after he came to us and gave us the good news, Isaias had passed his IECC exam and was now a certified Residential Energy Inspector. We were very proud of him and could see that he had a bright future ahead of him. Isaias was hard working and studious and although he had two certification now and this could easily go to someone's head, Isaias stayed humble and modest which was just his personality. We here in the Mechanical Inspections Department  will truly miss him.
