JM Leaves a legacy of love and integrity with his family and those who knew him. He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving husband, father and friend. We are grateful for each and every day we had to see his glowing smile, and for the lessons learned and all the jokes he shared. JM was born in Houston, in 1971. his name came from his beloved grandparents Juan and Margarita. As a child, he spent his summers in Pearland chasing grandma's chickens or swimming in the water holes of New Braunfels.
His passion for farm animals only grew as he got older. He was a cowboy at heart. In 2013 he rode his horse, BUD, from Golliad, Texas into the Houston Livestock Parade. "We slept in a horse trailer for 5 days, our bed was the 10 bales of hay the horses had to eat, so you can only imagine towards the end of our ride, we were sleeping on an inflatable mattress." To him it was the best experience; he talked about it all the time.
His other passion(s) included collecting cactus from all over Texas; he made sure to bring a shovel each trip we took. He decorated our home with his antique finds and took pride in his yardwork; the man won "Yard of the Month" three consecutive months and his 1986 Chevy was his baby. He said it was only to be driven on sunny days. JM was a hard working and giving man; he dedicated 18+ years to MCA Communications. He was loved and respected by his peers. His ability to make everyone feel comfortable, secure and loved was his greatest strength.
Love, you have left a piece of you in our kids Brittney, Jay and Bryelle.
To the Greatest husband and most wonderful friend, I love you.
