

Rob graduated from Wichita Falls High School and served in the United States Marine Corps in World War II, seeing action on Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Guam and Iwo Jima. He married Johnnie Sue Barclay in 1947 and enjoyed their marriage of 66 years. In 1946, Rob went to work for National Supply working in Electra, Breckenridge, Abilene, Odessa and Houston. He rose through the ranks of the company as a yard warehouse foreman, field salesman, store manager, district manager and retired in 1983 as Chief Operating Officer of National Supply and group Vice President of Armco Steel.
Rob is preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Sue; parents, Jason and Lena; and brother, Gardner. He is survived by his son, Rob Jr., and wife, Mary; his daughter, Becky, and husband, Terry Andrews; and granddaughters, Sue Lynn Trafton, Rebecca Cook, Bayley Andrews; nieces and nephews, John Walker, Lou Ann Moore, Winston Barclay and Linda Newton. Rob will be remembered by his family and all who knew him as an American patriot, loving father, father-in-law and grandfather, faithful husband, proud Marine and the “World’s Champion Quail Hunter.”
A graveside service is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 7th of June, at Riverside Cemetery, 1810 5th Street, Wichita Falls, Texas.
