Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Juanell Davis Dresing; parents Walter H. Dresing, Sr. and Viola Dresing; and brothers Walter H. Dresing, Jr. and Donald D. Dresing. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Barrett and husband Wes Barrett; granddaughter, Corey Titcomb, and husband, Andrew, and their daughters Gracen and Aubrie; brother, Robert K. Dresing and wife Sarah along with nieces and nephews and their spouses and extended families.
Jack served in the National Guard and worked at Fruehauf Trailer Company, Leasing Associates, Inc., NL Offshore Oil Industry, Century Papers Inc. and Alief I.S.D.
Jack loved God and his family. He was active in softball, bicycling and golf, volunteered at Memorial Hermann Southwest and West Houston Hospitals for many years, and adopted so many stray dogs we lost count. Jack gave more than 100 per cent to everything he did, and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends were comforted and encouraged by his wisdom and “can-do” attitude.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24th at 10:00 am at First Assembly of God Rosenberg (2512 Avenue N | Rosenberg, TX 77471) to honor Jack’s life. All are invited to visit with the family at the reception immediately following. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
Arrangements under the direction of Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, Houston, TX.
