Jacqueline Bowers

Jackie graduated from Aldine High School. She was elected class president and voted most popular in the school newspaper. Jackie met the love of her life Jack Bowers in Houston and together they spent 46 wonderful years together. Jackie worked as a bank teller before retirement. Some of Jackie’s favorite pastime activities were reading the word of God and cooking. She was a true patriot and loved a good laugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Walston and Edrie Mae Walston; husband, Jack Bowers; son, Merrill Bowers; granddaughter, Abra Hudgins; grandson, Jordan Pangarakis; sisters, Billie Sue, and Martha Ann; brothers, Sonny, Albert, Larry, and Jerry; son-in-law, Victor Brewer.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Valerie Waldron and husband Bill, Rhonda Brown and husband Richard, Paula Swanberg and husband Mark, Celeste Pangarakis and husband Gary, and Willa Renee Brewer; son, Paul Chris Rau; sisters, Jona Milsap, Edrie Lee, and Mary Louise; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, cousins, and friends.

Officiating will be Pastor Donte Santi.

A visitation for Jacqueline will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service is scheduled to follow and begin promptly at 10:00 AM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside, followed by burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
