Born on October 11, 1932 in Aubreville Meuse, France to parents Leon and Marcelle Nicolas. Jackie spent her early years with her family in France until a young handsome Army man swept her off her feet. She left her family and everything she knew behind to begin their life together which you can imagine must have been very hard to do.
She started working in the insurance business in 1967 with Crum and Forster ending her career in that field in 1996 when she retired to take care of her husband. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia in 2017, she finished her journey on December 28, 2020 when she was wrapped in the arms of Jesus and welcomed home.
Jackie was an excellent cook. She took pride in preparing Sunday meals for her family and was happiest surrounded by her family. Although a homebody by choice she loved to take trips including cruising the Caribbean and playing the slots. Boy did she love to play slot machines. She was always ready to go to the casinos at the spur of the moment because you could not go without her. Family reunions, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, spoiling grandchildren were what she lived for. Jackie loved taking care of her yard and flowers and took pride in it. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and volunteered for many years in the food pantry there.
Jackie is preceded in death by husband, Harry Jones Jr., and parents Leon and Marcelle Nicholas. Jackie is survived by daughters, Beverly Jones, Cathy Christie, and husband Randy, Patricia Green and husband Clifford, sons, Eric Jones and Marc Jones, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; sister Paulette Bougerolles, brother Roger Nicholas and sister-in-law Genevieve, sister-in-law Beverly Fullington and numeous nieces and nephews.
