Jacquelyn "Jackie" Chamberlin Blake

Jackie was born on September 8, 1927, in Dallas Texas to Leo and Fae Chamberlin. She grew up in Dallas and attended Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduation, Jackie attended Southern Methodist University and was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. Jackie graduated in 1949, with a degree in general business. While attending SMU, Jackie met her future husband of 64 years, George Edward Blake. During her husband’s career in the oil and gas industry, the family moved numerous times before settling in Houston in 1966. Jackie was a longtime member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, where she made many livelong friends.

Jackie loved spending time with her family and friends, antiquing, reading, and traveling. Jackie particularly enjoyed her numerous trips to Europe and visiting many beautiful places within the United States. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her two daughters, Suzanne Blake and Sharon Reardon, her two grandchildren, Sean Reardon, Nora Reardon Annunziato and husband Brett, brother Leo Chamberlin Jr. and wife Sylvia and nieces Carol Chamberlin, Caren Hamilton and Cynthia Dufresne.

A gravesite service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on Monday, January 10, at 12:00. A reception to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held immediately following the service.
