We were privileged to have known Jim, if only briefly, through our dear friends Jim and Rebecca Krepper. He was always so welcoming and eager to share experiences and a joke with us.  
We will very much miss his company on our next trip to Houston.

Jim was truly one-of-a-kind. He was always ready to share a meal, laughter and great stories. He’s been such a figure in my recent years since moving to Houston. His knowledge and, most of all, his friendship to all will be missed. I can’t think of anyone that leaves a bigger void in so many lives. I’ll miss his jokes, his great advice and all of the laughs had together. I pray he’s found relief and is out of pain. Miss you Bugg! 

Almost twenty years ago I met Jim and how would I know that a typical customer-supplier encounter would become a long term trusted friendship. Jim was a professional and undoubtedly the best in our business - he  solved everyone's problems, whether it was taking care of a customer or helping a friend get through a difficult situation.  What a great friend he was to me and so many!

One of the many reasons I loved my father.  He was always a jokester.  He sent me this message in the beginning of Covid. I was bored and out of work, and it made my day.  Love you dad ❤

  Jim, you were the best brother in the world. Our mom called him Jim-bo, so when I was just a baby I called him Bo and that was my nick name for him.
    Bo was 14 years older than me and in a lot of ways a father figure to me.
    As far back as I can remember Bo would come home from a hard days work and tell me to get the ball gloves and bat out, or the football and I’d go out for passes, he did that for years. The first movie I remember going to was with Bo I believe it was in 77 or 78 Star Wars
    All the fishing trips, camping trips, water skiing we did, those are some of the best memories of my life. Later on we started going to Las Vegas together.
   The man had a heart of gold, he literally would have given you the shirt off his back.  I can’t tell you how many times he had me pull over so he could give money to the less fortunate.
    Bo was a hard worker, dedicated to his profession and extremely knowledgeable in his field.

   Brother I love you, I miss you and I will see you again.

My father was an amazing man! He was there for Julie and I, no matter what throughout our entire lives. He was never judgemental about anything that we were going through, he was just there. He might have gotten upset a time or two, but he was still there. And not only for us, but the many friends that he had, he was always there to help. My Dad was charismatic, funny, quirky and neurotic at times, but we loved him for it. Daddy I will miss you to the moon and back, and love and honor you always! 

I was blessed with the most amazing, loving, caring, selfless and funny father.  He was always there for me when I needed it, no matter what.  He never judged, he guided.  He never criticized, he encouraged.  He never once made me doubt his love for me.  I love you dad, and I will always cherish the memories we shared.

I was heartbroken to hear of Jim's passing. He was incredibly knowledgeable in Electrical Distribution and while, he was my customer for many many years, he taught me so much about the industry. Rest Easy Bugg, we've got things covered down here.

JoBo, I can’t believe you’re gone. It feels like just yesterday that we lived at Reata Apartments and walked everywhere together for lunch and  dinner.  So many wonderful memories over the years. You were so charming, kind, generous, fun, and charismatic. You always called me #4! You loved my cooking, especially my salads. I know I’ll remember more, right now, I am in shock. Love you always, Lucy

I met James when I was 18 and he was 23.  We soon fell in love and married one year later.  We share two beautiful daughters together. He was always there for our girls through the good times and bad.  We’ve laughed and cried together more times than I can possibly remember. Although our marriage later ended, our mutual bond for the love of our girls, respect for one another and our friendship has spanned 42 years.  My daughters are heartbroken over the loss of their loving and devoted father and I will miss my dear friend terribly.  Although our grief is difficult to bear we have peace knowing he is in a better place and finally free of pain.  Until we meet again.

Jim our best friend in the USA,  we will miss you. We met you 3 times and already the first time we knew that you are special.

Jim was charismatic,  handsome, and one of the kindest people who I’ve ever had the pleasure of having in my life. He always wanted to know who someone was, how he could help them if they needed something. We jokingly fought like we had been married for 30 years, we stole jam  like we were Bonnie and Clyde, he dragged  me to go to church with him, everyone loved him there. Hey Jim! I miss him. He’s blowing a kiss, bye babe. I love you. Everyone loved you. 

Jim was definitely one of a kind in so many ways.  We will miss him very much.  Rest in Peace my friend.

I was trying to remember something from long ago just yesterday, and just for a second I thought, I'm going to ask Jim . . . there's going to be so many moments like that.
I've been in his life from day one and we've always been close, we told each other things we wouldn't tell others.
I'll miss my little brother forever, I take some comfort in knowing he's not in any more pain.

Wish I had met you  sooner Jim.  I really enjoyed your sense of humor and always got a chuckle when you would feed a family member a story that although improbable, particularly fit their foibiles and expectations- and they always bought until it got too crazy or the corners of your mouth started to curl up.  

You will be missed! 

What a great resource Jim has been for so many of us in electrical distribution.  He willingly helped me out of many binds throughout my career and was always a pleasure to deal with.   

RIP Bugg.  You will be missed.

  You where a remarkable man, and lived a remarkable life.  You always bring me back the free soaps and lotions from hotels when you went on vacation and would let me have the coupons from your Sunday paper.  I would always make sure you had your favorite pens that you like to write with in a area that was not the common area Just for you.  You always gave the boys coloring sheets, and supported their fundraisers.  You where a very generous man and never once did you ever say "Look at what I did"  you just did it quietly in the background.  You left a mark in this world and not everyone can lay claim to that.

I recall the time that Jim and I went to Bangkok and Ho Chi Min City and we almost got stuck in Bangkok, because neither of us had a visa to enter Vietnam, the next stop on our tour.  So we had to rush (and this was difficult, as his bad knee was in pain), fill out several forms on the computer to get our visa issued from the government.  We almost missed our flight and Jim's anxiety level was quite high.  So when we finally boarded the flight, the host greeted us and the first words out of his mouth (in his typical Texas drawl): Do you have any whiskey?  Bring me a  double!

Jim has always been one of the most genuine, kind, generous, lovable, caring, friendly people I know.  He never met a stranger.  He was a big part of my life and I will miss him. 

Jim, you were a true friend for so many years.  My heart is broken that you are gone.   No longer will you have to endure pain.
Rest In Peace my dear friend and know you will be missed. 

October 2019 we met Jim at Osso's before an Astros game.

I remember going with my dad, James and my cousins on a father/daughter weekend. We stayed at the Marriot in downtown Houston, had room service, watch Naked Gun 33 1/3 and snuck up to the 13th floor of the hotel to see why it wasn’t listed in the elevator. Our dad’s were such characters. Anytime we would go to a restaurant or run into a stranger, they would talk in an Australian accent and try to convince people they were Australian.
